Didgeli Cave Natural Monument

 

Sightseen: A limestone barremian cave generated by river Osunela, it is abundant by various boulders ripped off from the cliffs, clays, etc. Existing cleft  at the entrance of the cave leaking Kinkle stream, where temporary lake exists.

Location: Tskaltubo Municipality, nearby village Melouri. 418 meters above sea level.

Coordinates: N42 23.419 E42 37.748

Access Road: Tskaltubo is the big settlement nearby natural monument. Tskaltubo is far from Tbilisi with 257 km, duration – 3 hours and 30 minutes. Tskaltubo –village Kumistavi – 7.5 km, duration – 10 minutes. Village Kumistavi – Didgeli Cave Natural Monument – 7km, duration – 25 minutes.

Guesthouses:  The most optimal option for overnight is staying at Tskaltubo or in Kutaisi, where visitors have an opportunity to stay at hotels.
