Agency of Protected Areas became member of EUROPARC federation

Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia Mr. Levan Davitashvili was visiting hotel Biltmore, where he hosted the event concerning membership of the Agency of Protected Areas of Georgia to the EUROPARС Federation.
During the event, vice-president of EUROPARC federation Mr. Michael Hošek awarded Agency of Protected Areas with certificate.
Mr.Levan Davitashvili emphasized how important it is to be a member of EUROPAC federation. “From now on, protected areas of Georgia will be presented by the side of European protected areas, protected areas of Georgia will be presented on international level. Nature lovers will have a chance to get know Georgian protected areas biodiversity. We are glad that we have an opportunity to collaborate with other members of the federation.
EUROPARC Federation presents European protected areas’ umbrella organization, 36 countries and hundreds of protected areas are the member of the federation.
Agency of Protected Areas’ entry EUROPARC federation was implemented by the support of Embassy of Czech Republic to Georgia, WWF Caucasus office, TJS and KfW.
Agency of Protected Areas presented two new clips presentation during the event.
The event was attended by the representatives of Diplomatic Corp, international organizations and media representatives.
