Protected Areas, Biodiversity and Eco-tourism

On 25th of May, information meeting was held for higher education institution’s students, where a lecture was held on the topic – Protected Areas, Biodiversity and Eco-tourism.
Employee of the Agency of Protected Areas Ms. Nata Sultanishvili emphasized the importance of protected areas’ creation, biodiversity, categories, and eco-tourist services.
The meeting was held in an interactive regime, students got detail information about protected areas of Georgia, its international importance, allowed and prohibited activities on protected areas, and how to behave during hiking, and what safety measures to be done not to damage environment.
