Visitors Center was opened in Kazbegi National Park

‘Visitors Centre will be a special place in Stepantsminda’- emphasized Minister of Environment Protection and Agriculture of Georgia Mr. Levan Davitashvili.

It is notable that tourism information center will be allocated in a newly constructed building. Tourists will get information about park’s biodiversity and tourist services.

‘We collaborate very actively with Georgian National Tourism Administration, in newly constructed visitors’ center in Stepantsminda all conditions are created the service to be provided to visitors in an excellent way. Future plans are: growth of employee quantity, including rangers, and small size museum’s opening ceremony – where visitor’s will get information about biodiversity of protected areas, by which we are so proud’ – emphasized Mr.Davitashvili. He mentioned as well that Kazbegi National Park has unique ecosystem that needs protection.

Kazbegi National Park’s visitor Centre was constructed by the financial support of KfW and implemented by GFA. The project’s amount is 793 450 Gel.

At the opening ceremony of Kazbegi National Park – were attended  members of local self-government, majoritarian deputies, diplomatic corps, donor organizations and media representatives.
