At the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources Protection of Georgia, meeting about UNESCO World Heritage areas had been held, that been attended by the Chairman of the Agency of Protected Areas Lasha Moistsrapishvili. At the meeting Colchic forests’ and wetlands’ technical-economic survey results were discussed and also selected territories’ list’s growth. At the meeting emphasized how beneficial is the monument status for protected areas too. Parties estimated project’s going on process, problems were identified and future cooperation ways had been discussed. The project started in 2011 year, second phase continued in 2014 year, and currently at the conclusive phase, working group updated data, in order to accelerate process. The meeting had been arranged by the support of WWF and Mikheil Zukov Fund, that had been attended by the representatives of donor and non-governmental organizations.
