Babaneuri State Nature Reserve is located in Akhmeta Municipality, Kakheti region, Georgia. The reserve lies in the eastern part of the municipality, in the foothills of the Greater Caucasus Range, near the villages of Kvemo Alvani, Babaneuri and Laliskuri. The reserve was established to protect nearly 240 hectares of Zelkova forest, featuring a tree species included in the Red List of Georgia. Babaneuri State Nature Reserve covers a total area of 834 hectares.
