Bichvinta-Miuseri State Nature Reserve is located in Abkhazia region, within the occupied territories of Georgia, along the Black Sea coast. The reserve is renowned for its relict Bichvinta pine (Pinus pityusa) forests, a distinctive feature of the coastal landscape, alongside the lush, broad-leaved Colchic forests. Established in 1966 to protect these exceptional forest ecosystems, the reserve safeguards a rare natural heritage shaped by the region’s distinctive climate and biodiversity. It covers a total area of 3,645 hectares.
