Informational bulletin
The agency of Protected Areas has started distributing informational bulletins, which contain information about all the important events that have occurred during the last two weeks at the central and territorial units of the Agency. Additionally, they will also contain information pertaining to future plans to be implemented by the Agency.

Public discussion of Truso commission researching results
At 11:00 on September 26th, 2013, a meeting will be held at the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources Protection of Georgia to evaluate the impact of boring a well (owned by the leaseholder Ltd Kasara) on the surrounding natural formations, such as the Truso Travertine, Abano Mineral Water Lake andKeterisi Karst Spring located in the territory of Kazbegi National Park in Truso Valley.

Information about the activities planned by the Kolkheti Fund
On May 6, 2008, an agreement was made between the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources Protection of Georgia and the Black Sea Terminal, according to which the latter must implement compensatory measures as defined in the Environment Impact Assessment of the railway line built to connect to the Kulevi Terminal.

Facts of illegal logging
According to information provided by an inspection conducted for the Agency of Protected Areas by the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resource Protection of Georgia, evidence of illegal logging has been found in Algeti National Park, about 25km from the village of Manglisi. Parts from 96 beech, spruce, pine, oak and hornbeam trees were cut illegally, which has resulted in 32 cubic meters of damage to the park.

Results of research on the process of pine tree decay
In June 2013, through the initiative of the Agency of Protected Areas (APA), the main specialist of the Agency and Dr. Christian Tomichek, an Austrian expert invited by the German Organization for International Cooperation (GIZ), conducted research at Tusheti National Park to examine the ecosystems of Sosnovski pine trees that had been damaged by different types of parasites.
