On September 13-16, 2013, representatives from the Biological Farming Association Elkanaand the Association’s on-going project beneficiaries had a working visit to the Tusheti National Park. The event was held in the framework of the Project Eco Tourism Development in Javakheti National Park. During the visit, the story of Tusheti National Park’s creation and its importance was explained to the project beneficiaries. The operational characteristics of tourist services were also explained to them. Local entrepreneurs shared their expertise on selling different kinds of handmade items with the representatives of the women’s social enterprise.

The project’s future includes other events similar to this one. Such events will contribute towards improving the skills of the local population in the Javakheti National Park Support Zone with regard to tourism and tourism service.
