Second meeting of the Advisory Board of the Agency of Protecte
On June 16th, 2013, the second meeting of the advisory board of the Agency of Protected Areas will be held. The meeting will be attended by the representatives of non-public (NGO) sector, as well as international organizations and Academic institutions.
During the meeting it is planned to discuss the following issues:
- Review of the results of researches conducted at Tusheti National Park due to the major decay of pine trees and analysis of the recommendations prepared by a group of experts;
- Proper allocation of the budget donated by one of the founders of Kolkheti National Park Fund – Black Sea Terminal;
- Assessment of the ongoing infrastructural works at Okatse Canyon;
- Use of the territory adjacent to the Borjomi-Kharagauli National Park Administration for pasturing purposes and possibilities of alteration of the mentioned territories to the zone of traditional use;
- Tourist infrastructure leasing issues at Imereti Caves Protected Areas;
- Reviewing of the situation of Travertine located in Truso Valley, as well as analyzing of existing problems of the mineral springs and gas deposit fields there.
