Signing of a Grant Agreement 

At the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources Protection, the Charitable Donation Agreement was signed by Rati Japaridze – the Chairman of the Agency of Protected Areas, David Morrison – Executive Director of the Caucasus Nature Fund (CNF), Irakli Gilauri – General Director of Bank of Georgia and Tornike Guruli – Director of the Bank of Georgia’s Future Foundation.

According to the agreement, in 2014 the BoG’s Future Foundation will allocate 75,000 USD for the support of Georgia’s protected areas.

It should be noted, that the Bank of Georgia together with the bank’s Future Foundation supports various charitable activities in Georgia and have made donations to the CNF amounting 300,000 USD in 2010-2013. Whereas, CNF’s mission is to promote environmental protection with a focus on the lasting conservation, advancement and defense of the globally unique diversity of nature and species found in the Caucasus ecoregion—especially in the three core countries of Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan.
