Tour at Bavaria Forest National Park

Minister of Environment and Natural Resources Protection of Georgia, together with Deputy Ministrer and representatives of the Agency of Protected Areas visited Germany.

In the frame of the visit, Minister Gigla Agulashvili, Deputy Minister Ekaterine Grigalava and Chairman of the Agency of Protected Areas Lasha Moistsrapishvili held a meeting with the director of KfW – Eva Uitt and representative of Energy and Natural Resources department in Eastern Europe – Jean Bloom and Tomas Eisenbach. At the meeting were discussed ongoing projects and future cooperation plans.  

In the frame of the visit, study tour had been implemented at Bavaria Forest National Park. The tour aimed best practice sharing about eco-tourism and environmental education management. Participants of the tour acquainted visitor center and exhibition concept implementation, tourist and eco-educational trails arrangement and environmental education issues discussion. Representatives of the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources Protection of Georgia visited arranged educational trails at national park too.  

Educational tour had been implemented in the frame of the project Agency of Protected Areas Support Program in Caucasus-Georgia financed by KfW.
