Veterinary Center has been opened at Kvemo Alvani

Chairman of the Agency of Protected Areas Lasha Moistsrapishvili and Assisstant Resident Representative of United Nations Development Programme in Georgia  Natia Natsvlishvili opened veterinary center at Kvemo Alvani.

It is noteworthy, that  mentioned veterinary center had been arranged under the framework of Clima East Project:Sustainable Management of Pastures in Georgia to Demonstrate Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation Benefits and Dividends for Local Communities, in partnership with  Associations Management Centre (AMC.)

The veterinary center offers veterinary pharmacy and mobile veterinary service. It is fully equipped within all necessary technique. At this stage, the center serves 5 000 sheep, and it will be operated by Kakheti VRA in the future.

The center is located in vocational education  college building. By the support of the project partners, veterinary study had been added to the directions and students will be trained by veterinary center’s doctors. In addition, satellite point had been reconstructed in the village Kasristskali as well. Space for veterinary center had been allocated by the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, and a car for mobile veterinary service had been transferred by Georgian Institute for Public Affairs.
